Description
Day 1: Udaipur City Tour. Begin with a pickup from Udaipur Railway Station, Airport, Bus Stand, or hotel at your preferred location. Arrive at City Palace, Rajasthan’s largest palace, an architectural marvel of white marble perched on a hill. Built by Maharana Udai Singh and expanded by successors, it houses stunning courtyards, balconies, and the Tripolia Gate adorned with eight marble archways. Continue to Jagdish Temple, a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, this 79-foot-high temple is famous for its Indo-Aryan architecture and intricate carvings. Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, the 'Garden of the Maids of Honour.' Designed for the royal ladies, this serene retreat features lotus pools, marble pavilions, and elephant-shaped fountains. Explore Jag Mandir, an island palace on Lake Pichola, built by Rana Jagat Singh in 1620. It once provided asylum to Mughal Prince Khurram (later Emperor Shah Jahan) and sheltered Europeans during the 1857 uprising. Admire the Lake Palace, a breathtaking white marble palace floating on Lake Pichola. Known as one of the world's most romantic structures, it now serves as a luxurious heritage hotel. Discover Bagore Ki Haveli, an 18th-century mansion on the banks of Lake Pichola, known for its intricate architecture and cultural exhibits, including royal artifacts and folk performances. Head to Sajjan Garh, also known as the Monsoon Palace. Initially planned as an astronomical center, it later became a royal retreat offering panoramic views of Udaipur and the surrounding Aravalli hills. Visit Fateh Sagar Lake, an artificial lake originally built by Maharana Jai Singh in 1678 and reconstructed by Maharana Fateh Singh. This serene water body is a favorite for boat rides. Conclude at Dudh Talai, a scenic spot near Lake Pichola. Enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, Jag Mandir, Lake Palace, and Udaipur’s cityscape, framed by the majestic Aravalli hills. Drop-off at your preferred location in Udaipur, marking the end of this immersive city tour.Includes
