Description

Hawa Mahal, also known as the 'Palace of Winds', is a stunning pink sandstone palace located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, it was designed by Lal Chand Ustad. The five-story structure features 953 small windows (jharokhas), allowing royal ladies to observe street life without being seen, in line with the purdah system. Its unique honeycomb design and intricate latticework make it one of the most iconic landmarks in Jaipur. Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest astronomical observatories in the world. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the early 18th century, it features a collection of 19 architectural astronomical instruments. These structures were designed to measure time, track celestial bodies, and observe astronomical phenomena with remarkable accuracy. The Samrat Yantra, a massive sundial, is the most prominent instrument in the complex. The City Palace in Jaipur is a magnificent royal complex built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the early 18th century. Located in the heart of the old city, it blends Rajput, Mughal, and European architectural styles. The palace houses museums, courtyards, gardens, and grand buildings, including the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal, showcasing royal costumes, artifacts, and historical treasures.
