Description
Day 1: Delhi — History, Art & Street Soul Start your day at Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO site that whispers poetry in red sandstone. Stop at Sunder Nursery, Delhi’s most beautiful heritage park dotted with Mughal tombs, lakes, and rose gardens — a local favorite for photography and peace. Continue to India Gate, then enjoy a sit-down breakfast at Saravana Bhavan. Head to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, where spirituality and service meet. Visit the Lodhi Art District, India’s first open-air street art gallery, followed by Bikaner House, now a stylish cultural hub hosting art exhibitions and local designer pop-ups. Explore Jama Masjid and climb the minaret for a surreal panorama of Old Delhi. Ride a cycle rickshaw through Chandni Chowk, tasting Old Delhi’s legends — food. Then, visit Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market, where colors and fragrances collide. Descend into Agrasen ki Baoli, an ancient stepwell echoing Delhi’s medieval past. End at Hauz Khas Village, an urban bohemian quarter with a 14th-century reservoir, art boutiques, and rooftop cafés overlooking the ruins — perfect for a golden hour view. Drive to Agra. Day 2: Agra — Forgotten Mughal Marvels Begin with the tranquil Mehtab Bagh, where the Taj Mahal reflects in the Yamuna River. Visit Taj Nature Walk, a lesser-known forest trail behind the Taj, ideal for birdwatchers and photographers. Explore Agra Fort, a UNESCO gem of power and poetry. Then discover Itimad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) a marble miniature masterpiece. Continue to Chini Ka Rauza, known for its Persian tilework, and Aram Bagh, India’s oldest Mughal garden. Visit Akbar’s Tomb, blending Indo-Islamic design, and Mariam-uz-Zamani’s Tomb, serene and often missed. Shop for marble inlay crafts or embroidery at a fair-trade co-op. Drive onward to Jaipur after sunset, stopping en route at Korai Village, a tribal community near Agra known for eco-friendly crafts and storytelling (ethical village tourism, no performances). Then stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the Mughal ghost city. Day 3: Jaipur — The Artisan’s Royal Trail Start with a walk through Jaipur’s Flower Market, where marigolds and jasmine perfume the dawn. Visit Royal Gaitor Tumbas, a peaceful marble necropolis nestled beneath the Aravalli hills. Explore Amber Fort by eco-vehicle — admire the Sheesh Mahal and sweeping lake views. Visit Panna Meena Stepwell and the nearby Jagat Shiromani Temple, dedicated to Krishna and Meera Bai, often missed by tours. Enjoy lunch at a restored haveli, then head to Bagru Village for an interactive block-printing workshop — try your hand at creating your own design using natural dyes. Visit Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, housed in a restored haveli near Amber Fort, celebrating Jaipur’s textile legacy. Drive past Jal Mahal (Water Palace) shimmering in the lake, and explore Nahargarh Fort, offering panoramic sunset views over the Pink City.
