Description

Meet Madhu, a passionate embroidery artist who discovered her love for the craft in the early 1990s. Driven by a desire to learn a traditional skill and become financially independent, she got trained in Kashidakari through a six-month course. Over time, she began teaching the art to others, training batches of girls and helping them receive official certification. Her creativity also led her to explore gota patti work, which she first used to make a traditional Rajasthani poshak. Today, Madhu combines both embroidery and gota patti across fabrics and styles, keeping age-old techniques alive while inspiring a new generation of craftswomen.
