Discover the art of block printing in Jaipur on a guided tour of a local workshop. Learn about the process of block printing from local artisans, and try your hand at the technique to create your own printed fabric to take home.
Meet your guide and head to the workshop, one of the oldest in Jaipur. Watch as local artisans carve hand blocks, and see the printers at work using various blocks and colors. Learn about the washing process that follows the printing.
After the demonstration, try your hand at block printing on a piece of fabric. Choose one item from the list below to print:
1. Short scarf (1 meter 20 cm)
2. Long scarf (1 meter 80 cm)
3. Apron (one size)
4. Tote bag (35 cm x 42 cm)
5. Two napkins (45 cm x 45 cm)
6. Four placemats (35 cm x 50 cm)
7. Table runner (35 cm x 182 cm)
