Description
Begin your experience with a calming yoga class, guided by a certified yoga instructor. Set in a peaceful and welcoming environment, this session focuses on simple breathing techniques, gentle stretches, and postures suitable for all levels. Even if you have never practiced yoga before, you will find the class accessible and refreshing. The instructor will share the basics of Indian yoga, its connection to mind and body balance, and how it has been practiced for centuries as a way to maintain health and inner peace. This session lasts around 45–60 minutes and helps set the tone for the rest of the day. You will feel energized, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the cultural immersion ahead. After yoga, it’s time to explore Jaipur through its food. India is a land of spices, flavors, and family recipes, and Rajasthani cuisine is one of the richest culinary traditions in the country. During this hands-on cooking class, you will learn about Indian spices and their uses, watch live demonstrations by a local cooking expert, prepare dishes step by step with your group, and enjoy tasting and sharing the meal you cook together. Typical dishes may include: - Dal (lentils) – a staple of Indian meals - Chapati or Roti (Indian bread) – made fresh on the pan - Rajasthani Curry – such as Gatte ki Sabzi or Paneer masala - Seasonal Vegetable Dish – cooked with local spices - Rice or Pulao – flavored with cumin or saffron - Sweet Dish – a simple Rajasthani dessert Don’t worry if you are not an expert in cooking – this experience is meant to be fun and interactive. Everyone gets a chance to chop, stir, roll, and taste. The instructor will explain the cultural significance of each dish, and you will get to take home not just memories, but also recipes you can try again in your own kitchen. Finally, the group sits down together to enjoy the meal, just as Indian families do. Sharing food is one of the warmest cultural exchanges, and this meal will be one of the highlights of your Jaipur journey. After lunch and a short break, the experience continues with a Henna art session. In India, applying henna is more than decoration – it is a tradition, a symbol of celebration, and a form of expression. A skilled mehndi artist will join your group and demonstrate the process of creating intricate designs using natural henna paste. You will learn about the history and cultural significance of mehndi in Indian celebrations, how henna is prepared and applied, and the meanings of different patterns and motifs. Each participant will have the chance to get her hands decorated with elegant henna designs. The cooling paste will be applied, and as it dries, you will see the stain gradually develop into a beautiful reddish-brown pattern that lasts for days. This session is relaxed, interactive, and full of laughter – as everyone admires each other’s designs and takes photos together. It is the perfect way to end your cultural journey in Jaipur.Includes
